This position will be located in El Segundo, CA, where technology and teamwork come together.
Essential Functions:
General Knowledge of machine processes and procedures
Ability to interpret MES plans, MOI's, VADS, Process Specifications, drawings, and access the DNC with minimal assistance
Can self-identify nonconformance conditions
General Knowledge of controller and machine
Ability to set up and run parts
Capable of inspecting parts and machinery, documenting issues and making minor repairs with minimal assistance
Can detect malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions
Is capable of selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and material onto machines with minimal assistance
Some ability to perform tool proves
Works with general supervision
Initiates repair tickets including data in the shift log
Assists in training lower-level machinists
Maintains individual standards of safety and identifies area safety hazards
Participates in PMT meetings working with the team on improvement projects
Possesses general team working skills
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED and 7 years of machinist experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation in order to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
The ability to work 1st “5 AM – 2:42 PM” or 2nd shift “2:42 PM to 1:42 AM” and any work schedule
