Grant Thornton is seeking an Associate Director of Strategy and Integration to join the team in New York, NY.
Job Description:
As Associate Director of Strategy and Integration at Grant Thornton, you will join our Global Integration Management Office (IMO) and bring new acquisitions onto our global platform, supporting our programmatic M&A strategy to accelerate growth and expand our global scale. You will lead cross-functional commercial and operational teams to achieve milestones and outcomes at pace, positioning GT to deliver its growing suite of solutions across all clients. Also as part of the larger Value Creation Office (VCO), you will have the opportunity to partner with VCO colleagues working on an even broader set of strategic initiatives to drive operational efficiency, competitiveness, and growth.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive integration plans, including milestones, timelines, and key deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional integration teams, drive day-to-day operations, collaborate to execute key workstreams, and address emerging dependencies and challenges.
- Partner with commercial teams from GT’s services lines, brand, sales, and go-to-market organizations to ensure rapid incorporation of acquired solutions into GT’s offerings.
- Apply and incorporate learnings from your experiences into GT’s Integration Playbook to systematically drive our integration program.
- Build relationships, support, and coach GT functional leaders charged with delivering successful integration in their respective areas.
- Represent GT to newly acquired firms in a manner that further welcomes and inspires them to join our growing global firm.
- Partner closely with finance to track and report KPI’s, especially with respect to capturing revenue and expense synergies.
- Effectively plan and manage simultaneous high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare and integration progress reports and present insights to IMO, senior leadership, and other stakeholder groups.
You have the following technical skills, qualifications and experience:
- 6+ years in strategy, integration or related roles with strong background in project and change management.
- Prior experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or other highly strategic roles that provide the analytical, leadership, and cross-functional skills needed for success.
- Managing complex projects, leading diverse teams, and communicating effectively with senior leadership.
- Keeping teams focused on the big picture while being detail-oriented and curious in working with experts (e.g., technology, finance, HR, marketing, sales) to investigate and address challenges and opportunities.
- Delivering high-quality verbal and written communications that concisely and transparently cover plans, timelines, priorities, and progress across multiple operational and commercial workstreams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or relative field preferred and/or MBA.
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s New York, NY office only is between $155,500 and $233,300 per year.
