Flint Hills Resources (FHR) Pipelines and Terminals are seeking an HR Business Partner to join the FHR team! This role provides a unique opportunity for an HR professional who is interested in expanding their influence, developing leadership capabilities, and growing into broader responsibilities over time. As a member of a small, high-impact HR team, this role offers significant exposure to business and HR leadership and provides opportunities for professional growth.


Our Team

This role will report to the Human Resources Director on a team of three while being part of the broader FHR HR team spread across Minnesota, Texas, and Kansas. This role is on-site at the refinery located in Rosemount, Minnesota (about 30 minutes from Minneapolis), and does require 25% travel to support pipelines, terminals, and business operations throughout the Midwest. FHR has over 3000 employees, with refineries in Minnesota and Texas and Pipelines and Terminals throughout the U.S. 


What You Will Do

  • Partner with leaders to develop and execute talent, workforce, and organizational strategies that drive business results.
  • Lead change initiatives and advance talent management practices, including succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and organizational design.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce while addressing evolving talent needs and gaps.
  • Advance our Principle Based Management™ culture through coaching, influence, and application of PBM concepts and values.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, investigations, and other complex people matters.
  • Collaborate with leaders on compensation, employee engagement, and other initiatives that reward value creation.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and cross-functional partnerships to identify trends, improve decision-making, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization and deliver proactive HR solutions that support strategic business objectives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Human Resources experience partnering with business leaders on workforce and talent strategies, including performance management, talent planning, employee relations, and compensation  
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Valid Driver's License
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
