About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team on a temporary, part-time basis. This role will assist with accounts payable, bookkeeping, and payroll-related tasks to ensure accurate financial processing and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable
  • Ensure all invoices receive timely approvals and correct GL accounting coding.
  • Process and enter A/P invoices and employee expense reports into QuickBooks.
  • Assemble and distribute signed checks, attaching check payment advice to invoices.
  • Assist with reconciling vendor statements, including requesting missing information.
  • Review employee expense reports to confirm receipt attachments and approvals.
• Bookkeeping & Payroll Support
  • Assist with sales reporting, deposits, and sales tax calculations.
  • Help collect and verify payroll documents for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:

✔ Experience with accounts payable, bookkeeping, and payroll support.
✔ Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).
✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
✔ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
✔ Prior experience in nonprofit or service-oriented organizations (preferred but not required).
