Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Materials Engineer in its Sunnyvale Campus in California. In this role, you will work in an engineering materials laboratory developing test plans and performing testing and evaluation of data for investigating or determining acceptability of parts, materials and processes. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of material properties, test methods, and laboratory test equipment. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications
• Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree.
• Experience or coursework in a laboratory environment
• Coursework/knowledge of electrical testing, or materials testing and metallurgy
• Experience in the review of laboratory test results
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate data and complete related documentation and overall lab reports
Desired skills
• Familiarity with ASTM, AMS, or MIL specifications related to metals and electrical testing of materials
• Familiarity with standards related to testing of Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical Parts
• Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
