Job Description
We are hiring for Certified Pharmacy Technician in Spring, TX
Note: This role is open to candidates located near Spring, TX and who are willing to relocate to the area.

Position requirements:
To qualify for this role, the candidate must meet state requirements to work as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, must be currently certified as a pharmacy technician (on the PTCB website or the NHA website) and must be registered on the Texas State Board of Pharmacy website.
Compensation details:
- Pay starts $19.50 - 21.50 based on experience.
- Plus $2 shift differential for 2nd shift
Work Schedule:
- 1st shift: Amenable to work an 8-hour shift between 6:00 AM-6:00 PM (Full-Time only)
- 2nd shift Amenable to work an 8-hour shift between 3:00 PM-3:00 AM (Full-Time and Part-Time)
*Primary set schedule is offered.
*Schedules are subject to change to meet business need and due to associate availability.
*Must have flexibility to work any day during the week between shift availability times as needed for facility holiday closures, training, and overtime.
Job Duties include:
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies as prescribed by physicians.
- Process prescriptions, including counting, bottling, packaging, labeling, and recording medication dosages.
- Receive and process prescriptions, including entering prescription information into computer system and verifying accuracy.
- Perform inventory control, including stocking and re-stocking medications and supplies, removing expired items, and reporting on inventory levels.
- Answer phone calls, manage customer queries and forward complex queries to the pharmacist.
- Process insurance claims and manage payments.
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards of pharmaceutical care.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including storing and disposing of medications and supplies properly.
- Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and pharmacy operations.

- Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and creating reports.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stands for long periods of time.
- Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications
- Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT). (Required)
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy License TSBP (Required)
