The Patient Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient appointments, diagnostic testing, and clinical services with a high level of independence and judgment. This role supports both outpatient and inpatient workflows, ensuring efficient scheduling, accurate documentation, and a strong patient experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of clerical experience
- At least 6 months of experience at a Patient Scheduling Coordinator level or equivalent
Licensure/Certification
- BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- Must complete required certification program and maintain accuracy standards
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule clinical appointments for new and returning patients using IDX or similar systems, prioritizing based on patient needs
