Job Description

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting organizational decision-making through complex analysis, reporting, research, and effective use of data generated from our information systems. Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets. This role requires a strong, analytical thinker.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create or maintain business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, SharePoint, systems, or methods.
• Effectively utilize the navigation features in Power BI and Board (e.g. bookmarks, drill-through) to guide users through a compelling data-driven story.
• Utilize SQL to curate and query large data sets, perform analyses, and create custom views.
• Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by stakeholders within company divisions.
• Incorporate current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
• Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
• Maintains knowledge of data warehouse structure and components.
• Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
• Disseminate information regarding tools, reports, or metadata enhancements.
• Design, develop and deploy dashboards, visualizations and dynamic reporting interfaces using Power BI reporting platform.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with key business customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Microsoft Power BI required.
• Experience with Board (a reporting tool) is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries required.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and research methodologies.
• Knowledge of J.D. Edwards Enterprise One is a plus.
• Knowledge of IBM i (AS/400) is a plus.
• Able to take leadership of multiple projects and accommodate frequent interruptions and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Can be based out of one of the following office locations: Houston, TX; Solon, OH; Lakeland, FL; San Luis Obispo, CA.  A U.S.-based remote work environment may be considered for this position.
• 5 - 10 % travel may be required .
