The Digital Marketing Co-Op, SEO will work within a robust eBusiness support team to help support varying content marketing initiatives to improve the Sherwin-Williams brand presence online, in organic search results, and to drive sales online and in-stores. This position will also be responsible for assisting with the development of keyword rich content, content entry of metadata within a Content Management System, aiding in conducting site audits, and coordinating tactical SEO efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Help coordinate execution of strategies that include content optimization, link building, website improvements, local SEO improvements, and other initiatives in support of the organic growth of the SW brand online.
- Leverage internal and external analytics tools to measure and report on site performance, troubleshoot and identify quality-related issues that might be affecting the overall organic traffic and rankings
- Provide performance copywriting support to develop keyword rich short-form article and content snippets.
- Support optimization processes for site content, tools and applications to ensure availability of accurate and consistent information across customer touchpoints, devices, and platforms in accordance with SEO best practices, data and insights.
- Learn and support keyword research and strategy development, website performance analysis, gap analysis, competitor analysis, content, and technical audits.
- Work cross-functionally with analytics, marcom/marketing, and data teams support of holistic marketing campaigns and tactics
- Stay up-to-date on digital search marketing trends

- Knowledge of foundational on-page SEO best practices

- Ability to understand keyword and page performance reporting
FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Required:
- Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field graduating between May 2025- December 2026
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Required:
- Availability to work in a long-term co-op (9-12+ months)
- The ideal candidate must be available to work ~37.5 hours per week during the summer and ~20 hours/week during the school year
- Knowledge of foundational on-page SEO best practices
- Experience writing marketing copy
- Ability to understand keyword and page performance reporting
- Preferred:
- Copywriting experience
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required:
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools
- Preferred:
- Experience with Google Analytics
- Experience using content management systems (CMS), example: Wordpress, Squarespace
