Patient Service Specialists are responsible and accountable for the coordination of information and support needed for the flow of patients at our clinics. As a patient-facing caregiver, you’ll provide customer service, helping patients through processes like check-in, registration, billing/financial aide and insurance. Patient Service Specialists work in conjunction with our clinical teams to assist with scheduling, clinic operations and more.
The Patient Services Specialist – Journey Level performs all core front-office functions with increased independence and efficiency. The Journey PSS is capable of performing all aspects of the Associate PSS. This role is responsible for patient registration, appointment scheduling for routine and basic healthcare services, and general clerical duties. As a fully engaged member of the care team, the Patient Services Specialist demonstrates a commitment to compassionate service, effective communication, and operational excellence in support of Providence patients and their families.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of medical office or related healthcare experience OR
- 6 months of experience as a Providence employee in an Associate PSS position.
