Accounts Payable Clerk

Majors Plastics, a 100% employee-owned plastics molding company, is looking for an Account Payable Clerk! Our clerk works closely with the Controller to perform all general administrative duties pertaining to Account Payable. We offer WEEKLY pay, GREAT benefits, and the chance to advance in our company!

Schedule:

Monday -Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with unpaid hour lunch

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

• Match invoices to receivers and purchase orders. Correct balances if needed.
• Enter all invoices into IQMS, taking discounts as appropriate.
• Make all payments according to vendor terms.
• Assessing, organizing, and coding documentation.
• Moving or destroying archived documents according to document retention procedures
• Obtaining approval for invoices, when needed, by the appropriate parties.
• Collection of information from cardholders and distribution of payment for PCard transactions.
• Any additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager/Controller.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Requires occasional walking between production and office facilities.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

1. Above average computer skills with experience in Word and Excel being necessary.

2. Previous accounts payable experience preferred.

3. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

4. Above average attention to detail.

5. The ability to communicate professionally with vendors and co-workers.

6. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
