Logistics and Transportation Assistant Manager

York Space Systems is looking for a Logistics and Transportation Assistant Manager who will assist with all aspects of Yorks shipping, receiving, and transport functions to account for, control, and delivery of products and materials between all York operating locations and partner sites. This role will aid in development and implementing the overall strategy needed to deploy an optimized network for these functions, including but not limited to the creation of critical processes/documentation, training/staffing of personnel and the definition and execution of metrics.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with shipping, receiving and transport functions
• Account for control
• Deliver products and materials between all York Space Systems operating locations, vendors and partner sites
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a Logistics Coordination role (7 to 10 years of experience preferred)
• Strong decision-making capabilities
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
• Above-average working knowledge of operational procedures
• Experience with the proper packaging/handling/loading/transporting of flight hardware
• 49 CFR Hazmat Certified
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Experience working within Microsoft/Excel platforms
• Attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to forward think

Desired Skills:
• Clean driving record
• CDL Class A
• Forklift Certified
• Ability to multitask
• Knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
