(ORD) Part-Time Catering Seal Verification Agent

Key Responsibilities

 

• Inspect and verify catering truck security seals in compliance with aviation security standards
• Ensure all protocols are followed before trucks are released to service departing flights
• Maintain accurate documentation of seal verification activities
• Work with minimal supervision while upholding strict safety and security requirements
• Support operational efficiency by ensuring timely verification processes
• Able to adhere to Airport and United Airlines Safety Standards
   

 

Qualifications and minimum requirements

 

• High school diploma, GED or preferred
• Minimum of 18 years old
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English and numerical values fluently
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record (no infractions in the past six months)
• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
• Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
• Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, ORD Port Authority/SIDA, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
• Ability to maintain O’Hare Airport field driving privileges
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
