Handyperson

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Handyman. We have many leaders at ABM who started their career in this role so if you want to grow, we can show you how. The Handyman provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. This position will have you run maintenance check and hands-on repairs for desks, holes in walls, fire extinguishers, fire exit signs, and other physical work.  This job will not have any work on anything electrical.      Pay: $21 - 23 per hour. 

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

- Perform routine tasks such as sweeping, debris removal, and moving equipment.

- Assist with setup and breakdown of work areas and materials.

- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.

- Operate basic hand and power tools safely.

- Pass monthly inspections through supervisor.  

- Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment.

- Respond to maintenance requests and report issues promptly.

- Support larger maintenance projects under supervision.

- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

- Report unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.

- Maintain clean and organized workspaces.

- Work closely with other maintenance staff and facility personnel.

- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

- Provide support during emergency situations or facility disruptions.

- Prior experience in general labor, maintenance, or handyman roles.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
