As our next Model Based Systems Engineer and as a member of Integrated Strategic Solutions Engineering (ISSE), you'll immerse yourself in the intricacies of Strategic Nuclear Deterrence, bringing your acumen to the forefront of innovation and ensuring the efficacy and security of systems that are vital to national defense.
You do not have to have previous communications or nuclear experience; we will provide the training and tools to help grow the skills you will need to become a subject matter expert. You will learn from the best and brightest in the communications and nuclear deterrence domain working at Collins Aerospace. This position is for Richardson, TX.
What YOU Will Do:
Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace System requirements
Design, develop, and model systems and sub-systems
Develop and verify test procedures at the system and sub-system levels
Building complicated models using SysML for activity, state, block diagrams, and use cases
Plan project level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals
Manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects
Interact with a cross-functional team of (including, but not limited to) Engineers, Engineering leaders, Program Managers, Business Developers, Finance, Quality, and Production
Understand and support the manufacturing build, test, quality, and customer acceptance review processes
Represent Systems engineering team at internal and external customer meetings
Serve as a liaison between functional discipline groups and internal and external customers
Travel occasionally to support program requirements
Requires on-site presence in a classified lab space.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
