The Role at a Glance

 

In this position, you will take the lead in driving complex, enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for a wide range of Software, Professional services and Cloud and related services supporting Information Technology under the direction of Lincoln’s Finance Transformation & Procurement Mgt function.

 

What you'll be doing

 

•    Owning responsibility for the sourcing of assigned Technology providers to completion for a wide range of software and SaaS solutions.
•    Leading strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management activities for a select group of IT professional services suppliers, including consulting, systems integration, application development, infrastructure and managed services engagements.
•    Leading end to end sourcing projects to drive internal client value, including all key steps in the procurement lifecycle, such as strategy development, supplier selection, supplier negotiation, business case development input and supplier contract execution.
•    Leveraging industry and 3rd party supplier market intelligence to perform financial and commercial terms analyses of IT contracts to advise internal clients in optimizing IT Investments with future contemplation of supplier roadmaps and pricing changes.
•    Working closely with internal stakeholders in Technology, Legal, Finance and other areas from across the organization as required to facilitate the completion of sourcing tasks, adhering to established sourcing and business timelines and coordinating contract risk and mitigation.
•    Facilitating the Contract review process to completion.
•    Driving cost savings and cost avoidance by proactively identifying new opportunities, such as enterprise discount programs, long-term contracts options, and commit to consume models; taking a strategic approach to negotiate favorable terms and mitigate supplier price increases.

 

What we’re looking for

 

Must Haves:

•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management or any related business management program.
•    Minimum of five (5) years’ strategic sourcing experience dedicated to IT categories, with demonstrated capability in influencing and driving IT sourcing initiatives to completion.
•    Proven experience with Tier 1 Enterprise OEMs in both the software and IT professional services areas.
•    Negotiation experience and management of; ELAs with major vendors, maintenance renewals and SaaS.
•    Professional services experience with related software, systems integration, cloud managed services, and IT  managed services agreements.
•    Skilled and proven in the contract review process; including redlining IT contract commercial and legal terms for SaaS, MSA, NDAs, change requests, SOWs and Order forms.
•    Proficient use of procurement tools such as Ariba or equivalent technology.


Nice-to-haves:

•    Master of Business Administration or Advanced Degree.
•    Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), or other equivalents
•    Knowledge of Supplier Diversity landscape for Information Technology providers
