About the role

The Kravis Children's Hospital, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, NY is recruiting for a fifth BC/BE pediatric nephrologist.

Candidates should have experience with all aspects of clinical pediatric nephrology.  There are opportunities to become involved in or direct a growing AKI and CRRT program offering multiple modalities of therapy including CARPEDIEM.  In addition to working with trainees of all levels routinely, there is also potential opportunity for a designated academic role in our ACGME-certified fellowship program now in its 4th decade of success.  There are also many other specific opportunities to pursue an investigational or administrative track at Mount Sinai. Applicants with a research profile or training in QI are encouraged to apply as these will mesh well with the position and there is broad support for these activities within the Division and Department.  An academic rank of assistant to associate professor is anticipated, with actual rank commensurate with experience.  

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited program
  • Successful completion of a 3-year Pediatric ACGME approved fellowship program
  • Eligible for New York State Medical License
  • Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatric Nephrology
  • Meet eligibility requirements for an appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Compensation range from 200K to 260K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
