Our Team

The College’s Office of Undergraduate and Specialized Master’s Programs Admissions team plays a critical role in the success of the college through recruiting and engaging with high quality candidates for our undergraduate and specialized professional master’s programs. The specialized master’s programs (currently 8) are largely pre-professional, catering primarily to students just graduating from their undergraduate studies. This past year the master’s programs attracted approximately 4200 applications, yielding approximately 420 students to Cornell. This team is composed of energetic, collaborative, and knowledgeable individuals who are passionate about finding top tier applicants, are united through a shared vision to elevate the status of our programs and are committed to Cornell’s core values to diversity and inclusion essential for individual and organizational success.

Enrollment representatives within Cornell’s colleges, schools, and units regularly collaborate and partner with the Enrollment Division to accomplish the University’s enrollment goals.

   

The Assistant Director of Enrollment Communications Opportunity

Focused on the college’s several professional master’s (MPS) programs, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Communications cultivates, builds and maintains effective web and digital communication strategies to optimize the conversion of qualified prospective leads to applicants, and the conversion of admitted students to enrolling students. 

The Assistant Director participates in market planning and oversees the design and tactical execution of resulting communication plans to achieve enrollment objectives (composition and quantity) across each of the MPS programs. The Assistant Director collaborates closely with college partners (faculty program directors, admission colleagues, college Marketing and Communication officers, student services and career management advisors) in shared communication goals toward enrolling new students.

The Assistant Director will also participate in application review across multiple programs.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee prospect management; the activities that turn qualified leads into applicants.
  • Design and maintain contemporary messaging in communication plans to generate applicants from leads, and to optimize yield on admitted applicants, across each program.
  • Manage communication delivery in CRM systems; both drip and targeted by date or event.
  • Manage web content, presentation format, and related materials supporting recruitment and yield across the suite of MPS programs.
  • Function as principal admissions liaison officer with college Office of Marketing and Communications (MarCom).
  • Oversee and expand the use of Unibuddy and other platforms to involve current students in the recruitment and yield of future applicants and admitted students.
