Job Summary

As a Catering Manager at the New York Stock Exchange, you will be responsible for executing catered events. This position is 60% operations and 40% administrative. You will manage a team of up to 30 associates.

 

This position is Monday through Friday but requires evening availability. Shifts are generally scheduled between 10am-10pm- some flexibility is required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages catering events.
• Coordinated event logistics, ensures brand standards and operational excellence for all events. 
• Works closely with the management team to coordinate food and facility needs
• Hires and trains associates in service techniques
• Assists with cost controls and operational efficiency per client and company budgets
• Builds and maintains outstanding client relationships
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2 years of food service experience including 1 year of supervisory experience
• Catering experience
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
• ServSafe Certification, preferred
