Description
The Department of Human Sciences and Design at Baylor University invites applications for a full-time, fully remote Clinical Assistant Professor in Architecture to teach in its inaugural Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program. We seek a candidate who is dedicated to innovative teaching, program development, and meaningful student engagement. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in design, with an active role in shaping the program. This position is responsible for developing and teaching design studios and core lecture courses, such as graduate-level design studio, site and programming, building systems, portfolio workshops, and electives on a rotating basis. In addition, the faculty member will support academic services, program accreditation, as well as other efforts to help shape and grow the program.
This is a remote position. It is a renewable, non-tenure-track, full-time, 12-month, and teaching-focused role. Because the M.Arch program is delivered in a hybrid format, periodic travel to Waco, TX, is required for designated in-person activities, including program Immersions and course development.

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $ 88,000 - 98,000.
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certification, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
The anticipated start date for this position is June 2027.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach graduate architecture design studios and relevant lecture courses including: site and programming, building systems, electives, and portfolio workshops
• Support course development and program accreditation processes
• Engage with student advising and admission processes within the M.Arch program
