Routing and Logistic Expert II - South Florida


I. Job Summary

Researches, develops, and implements routing and logistics plans to enhance productivity, safety, and decreased costs. Responsible for District/MSA data analytics and reviews. Coordinates with Senior District Manager(s) to deliver data for coaching to each site daily. Responsible for mentoring and development of others in the Routing and Logistics Expert I job. 

This role is designated as Hybrid which will follow the WM Office Policy requiring in office work and an option to work remotely one day per week. 

This role requires travel throughout South Florida, spanning from Vero Beach to Key West, Florida.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Business Partner for Senior District Manager
  • Designs and re-designs routing and logistics solutions through the collection, verification, and analysis of current data relating to existing routes, vehicles, disposal facilities, and productivity.
  • Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Creates and implements plans to optimize routes and other transportation operations.
  • Communicates route changes to key personnel and provides necessary training and transitioning tools.
  • Monitors activity during implementation of new, optimized routes.
  • Monitors and analyzes productivity results.
  • Participates in regular business reviews with Senior District Manager to focus on business opportunities.
  • Partners with District/Senior District Managers to prepare reports on data summaries, changes, and trends for use by management to include Safety, Service, and Efficiency. Others as needed and necessary. Works directly with the Area Logistics Expert (ALE) to ensure periodic route reviews.
  • Prepares data for daily coaching conversations for all RMs.
  • Support analysis and review of the day-to-day operations of the district.


III. Qualifications 

A. Required Qualifications 
 

  • Associate's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar area of study
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience
  • 4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
