On-Site Spanish Interpreters – Hutchins, Wisconsin

The Language Banc (TLB), a Piedmont Global company offers flexible, on-call work on an Independent

Contractor basis. We are currently seeking Spanish interpreters for on-site interpretation assignments in

Hutchinson, Wisconsin to provide in-person services.

This is a "1099" independent contractor position for on-site (OSI) interpretation services.

Interpreter Functions: - Facilitate effective communication by accurately converting spoken language between parties. - Render messages clearly without omissions or additions while maintaining original style and context. - Provide sight translations of written materials as required. - Adhere to the Interpreter Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and HIPAA confidentiality protocols. - Act as a cultural broker to assist parties in reaching mutual understanding.

Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. - Native fluency in English and Spanish. - Prior interpreting experience and knowledge of medical terminology. - Completion of a 40-hour accredited interpreter training (e.g., Bridging the Gap, The Community Interpreter

training). - Reliable transportation, insurance, and access to a mobile phone and computer. - Up-to-date immunization records and ability to pass a criminal background check.

National Certification (CCHI/CMI or NBCMI) is desired but not required.
