Job Summary
Responsible for managing the strategic direction, build and deployment of functional systems and technology initiatives for the functional systems and technology platform (i.e., Human Resources, Finance, Legal, etc.). Ensures the planning and execution of Plan of Record (POR) activities to improve/enhance our employee journeys. This includes but not limited to ensuring projects are within budget and meets the business requirements/commitments. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results, and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Manages/owns the relationships with multiple business stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
- Conducts and/or leads analysis to determine requirements.
- Utilizes all resources available to develop team members including development plans, recommended learning, mentoring, etc.
- Provides and reviews all business requirements/designs. Builds, tests and coordinates deployment activities.
- Responsible for coordinating requirements and scope across multiple business functions to develop common understanding and agreement on all deliverables with key stakeholders.
- Provides leadership for developing functional platform strategies.
- Ensures data integrity throughout the functional platform. Coordinates with peers and other departments to ensure that downstream changes to shared data do not impact processing and compliance/data privacy.
- Responsible for daily operations and planning (including but not limited to upgrades, troubleshooting, and problem resolution).
- Assists in development and meeting of departmental budget; this could include evaluating costs, risks and benefits of alternative solutions before making recommendations.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Strong working knowledge of Workday Payroll
- Manage team of analysts to support day-to-day responsibilities
- Can build strong relationships in a cross matrix environment
- Knowledge of other Workday HCM modules is a plus
- Knowledge of Workday development and Reporting is a plus
- Ability to build and execute long term strategy
- Knowledge of ADP GlobalView/Celegro
- Knowledge of UKG Pro WFM
