What is the Financial Effectiveness group responsible for?
We are responsible for providing support to our business partners that drives efficiencies in producing trusted financial results. We do this by planning, prioritizing and supporting finance systems improvements through configuration, reporting, and other means, by collaborating with our business partners.
What is the Payroll Process Optimization Lead responsible for?
The candidate will play a critical role in enhancing our global payroll process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance. The Payroll Process Optimization Lead will work closely with the existing payroll operations team, technology team, HR and other cross-functional teams to drive standardization and optimization. This position has significant leadership accountability responsibilities.
The Payroll Process Optimization Lead will make or recommend key business decisions that impact the global payroll operations process. This position reports to the VP of Financial Effectiveness and will also work closely with the technology and HR groups to recommend items for and manage the roadmap. A key driver in project delivery, the role will contribute to the process of gathering and validating business requirements and sign-off at each critical stage of a project.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Payroll Process Optimization Lead?
Coordinate across all stakeholders to ensure consistent and timely communication of payroll matters
Apply continuous improvement principles and best practices to accomplish objectives such as reducing the amount of manual transactions and intervention, reducing the number of adjustments, minimizing off cycle transactions and streamlining the use of data within the systems needed to complete global payroll processes
Assist in the prioritization of payroll projects, enhancements and initiatives
Work with stakeholders to define requirements for various enhancements, projects, etc.
Work across multiple stakeholders to define implementation timelines of various initiatives
Work with stakeholders to determine costs to implement various initiatives
Assist in change management planning and delivery for areas impacted by changes to payroll processes
Work closely with the Payroll team to standardize, as much as possible, processes across regions
Assist the Payroll team in identifying opportunities for automation and improvement
Conduct root cause analysis to understand underlying issues

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience leading payroll process optimization initiatives
Proven project management, business analysis and change management abilities
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated behavior of working effectively across multiple corporate functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Workday experience is highly desired
