This placement will be a part of the Business Enablement group within Supply Chian. This group is responsible for providing a wide variety of services mostly to Supply Chain but also to lines of business across Hydro One. This includes governance support, education/training, quality assurance, business improvement projects, communications support, and technology management. The objective of the group is to help make Supply Chain operations run smoothly, removing barriers and anticipating the future needs of the sub-teams, deploying improvements as required.

Job Duties:

• Writing audience-appropriate, project-related communications
• Creating reports and presentations contributing to directional Supply Chain decisions
• Creating visuals to enhance presentations and communicate concepts
• Analyzing data and presenting results of studies
• Booking meetings and tracking actions, issues, risks and decisions
• Participation in discussions
• Facilitating meetings and workshops
• Delivering presentations to a wide variety of audiences
• Assist in development and implementation of business solutions requiring enhancements to existing processes or systems
• Data processing assignments which may include maintaining, scrubbing, and extracting information
• Assisting with monthly/quarterly reporting accountabilities associated with the QA process;
• Participate in the education of and ensuring that Supply Chain policies and procedures are understood and enforced by all lines of business.
• Contribute to change management initiatives including communications, education, and transition activities
• Liaise with Hydro One clients (Requisitioners), vendors, and service providers
• Support end-to-end Supply Chain Services in any capacity required
• Perform other duties as required

Selection criteria

Education level:

• Completion of 2nd or 3rd year

Program/area of study:

• Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management or Masters students

Soft and technical skills:

• Requires knowledge of various software packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to be able to create, modify and review reports
• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills
• Requires ability to multi-task in a detail-oriented manner
• Requires sound business acumen
• Requires ability to work independently and on a team with minimal supervision
• Requires strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Requires strong organization and planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing work priorities
• Requires ability to develop co-operative working relationships, internal and external
• Must be self-starter, capable of identifying the need for, and taking, independent action

This position will be hybrid (two days in the office per week).
