The National Support Services Coordinator plays a vital role as a subject matter expert in volunteer engagement, bereavement care, and psychosocial support for hospice patients. Serving as a trusted resource to volunteer coordinators, bereavement coordinators, social workers, and chaplains across the country, this position fosters connection, drives quality, and champions consistency. Qualifications, Duties, and Perks
What You’ll Do:

Provide guidance, training, and support to field-based supportive service personnel

Conduct virtual meetings and problem-solve issues across locations

Develop and implement policies and procedures to align with hospice standards

Monitor and report volunteer participation to ensure compliance with the 5% requirement

Lead quality improvement activities and data-driven support strategies

Promote national standardization and support implementation of specialty programs
What You Bring:
-
A degree in social work, nursing, human services—or equivalent experience preferred
-
At least 2 years of healthcare experience (hospice preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and understanding of EMR systems
-
Knowledge of hospice regulations related to support services
-
A collaborative mindset with excellent organization and follow-through
-
The ability to travel up to 25% and work flexible hours as needed
