Production Technician - (Friday through Sunday)

Zenni is expanding into a FULL SERVICE LAB! We are hiring for all DEPARTMENTS including: Finish, Surface, AR.

The Friday through Sunday shift is from 6:30a to 6:30p with full time benefits, matching 401k, free lunch from local restaurants, and we pay for your insurance premium.

We are currently looking for those looking to learn and grow in the optical field and to join our team at our site in Obetz, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, open to feedback, and looking to build a great team.

Essential Responsibilities For Each Optical Technician Level:

Introductory Optical Manufacturing Functions (Tech1)

• Picking and unpacking lenses and frames for customers orders.
• Inter-department running.
• Prepping and loading lenses into machines.
• Beginner level mounting lenses into frames.

Experienced Optical Manufacturing Functions (Tech II)

• Mounting lenses into frames.
• Lens edging machine operation.
• Lens generating and polishing machine operation.
• Lens engraving and scratch coating machine operation.
• Anti reflective coating chamber operation.
• Lens taping and blocking operation.
• Lens defect analysis.

Senior Experienced Optical Manufacturing Functions (Tech III)

• Final inspection of completed orders to meet ophthalmic and cosmetic standards.
• Breakage analysis and quality determination.
• Detailed lens and quality analysis.
• Subject matter expert - Optic machine operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Placing of receipted goods into correct locations.
• Maintain good housekeeping, 6S.
• Ensure daily / monthly KPI’s are met.
• Adherence to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Health & Safety Awareness.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous optical manufacturing in the listed fields.
• Previous quality analysis experience.

Schedule:

• 3 x 12 hour shift
• Friday - Sunday

Language:

• English (Required)

Requirements

• Being able to stand for 8-12 hours

As of 01/01/2023, the expected salary range for this position is $17.00 to $21.00 per hour. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonable expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the Company’s business needs.
