About the role
In this role, the project manager will be responsible for leading project management and agency operations for a large client, working closely with a cross-functional team across the IPG network. The ideal candidate possesses a strong interest in healthcare, is curious and excited to explore new ideas, is proactive, possesses a great attention to detail, is resourceful and has an entrepreneurial spirit. Responsibilities include:
- Serve as a collaborative business partner to team leads and agency finance, ensuring that a cross-practice approach is applied to all issues related to deliverable quality and fiscal health
- Serve as client-facing lead on all financial management; responsible for client and internal budget-reporting in partnership with agency account lead and finance lead
- Professionally manages client engagements with a focus on balancing quality, cost and schedule while managing client expectations
- Partners with agency account and finance lead to help facilitate accurate and realistic forecasts; actively manages any forecast mitigation as needed
- Responsible for the development, review or oversight of all estimates, job creation, fees, burn reports and invoices; establishes team process for effective financial management of the account
- Partners with agency account lead to manage team on-boarding processes and trainings
- Ensures agency team remains up to date on all required annual client trainings
- Drives all elements of day-to-day activities with the team to keep client programs on schedule and manage ad hoc requests
- Liaises with client marketing operations leads to ensure materials are submitted and approved by medical, legal and regulatory in a timely fashion
- Drives innovative programs that may challenge status quo
- Proactively handles client problems and issues quickly and adeptly
- Maintains quality standards and ensures client satisfaction
- Coaches and motivates mid-level and junior team members to develop and maintain timelines as needed/appropriate
The requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 4-6 years of agency experience
- Understanding of integrated agency teams (earned media, digital, paid media, social, partnerships, creative)
- Mastery over budget management and developing complex staffing plans
- Inspiring leader who promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational functions
- Comfort triaging multiple deliverables at once
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and always focus on problem-solving
- Outstanding communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills

NYC Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
