Your role at Sephora:
 

As a Director of Indirect Procurement & Operations, reporting to the Vice President, Indirect Procurement & Strategic Sourcing, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Indirect Procurement Operations, procurement services support (systems, processes, statement of procedures, contracts, analytics, and compliance), supplier rationalization, quality improvements, and strategic relationship development. The Director will maximize savings, establish and automate a standardized set of best-in-class policies and processes, develop a robust preferred supplier program, and optimize existing Source to Pay applications such as Coupa/SAP and others through integrations to automate the end-to-end processes.

 

Additionally, the Director will partner with the Strategic Sourcing Directors to develop sourcing strategies, procurement processes, track performance using metrics that enable acceleration of growth while driving efficiency, reducing spend and total cost of ownership, and partner with the Accounts Payable team to continuously improve and deliver a simplified Source to Pay user experience for the end-users. The Director will partner with Department leaders to manage stakeholder relationships and achieve buy-in for the Sourcing and Procurement strategies and business case for change.

 

 

The Director must be able to use experiences to deliver significant value to key stakeholders in strategic planning, procurement execution, risk assessment, spend analysis, price, and contract negotiations.  In addition, you will: 

 

  • Define and implement best-in-class processes and supporting technology to improve efficiencies, analytics, reporting, and compliance.
  • Lead and build a team of a high-performing team.
  • Support the development of annual strategic sourcing plans, execution of those plans, and achievement of maximized savings within each spend category in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing Directors.
  • Set and achieve cost savings targets.
  • Develop and execute automation of appropriate category-based procurement strategies based on the sourcing requirements.
  • Develop and implement Procurement strategies to improve addressable spend under management.
  • Actively work to appropriately reduce or increase the number of suppliers used while ensuring robust competition within all categories.
  • Create a long-range cost/demand assumption forecast using predictive analytics to forecast future purchasing demand requirements based on past purchasing history.
  • Be the face of the procurement function, set the agenda, communicate with key stakeholders, and ensure senior leadership knows progress/roadblocks and results.
  • Drive innovative solutions, from restructuring supplier relationships to reengineering spend to increase value creation while appropriately streamlining spend.
  • Collaborate with the business units and Finance to clearly define decisions and spend rights across the enterprise, strategic cost savings targets, and target project plans.
  • Continually improve supplier performance through effective contracts and supplier performance management methodologies.
  • Achieve year-over-year improvements in Indirect spend, focusing on quality and service.
  • Create an effective supplier management approach to drive innovation and growth, onboarding new suppliers, quality controls, and continuous improvement.
  • In partnership with department subject matter experts and Sourcing leaders, create and execute sourcing events through automation and identify opportunities to gain efficiencies and cost-effectiveness in supplier negotiations.
