Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical capabilities and limitations, and design customized treatment plans aimed at boosting their strength, mobility, and overall physical wellness. Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to the unique needs of each patient, including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and education on body mechanics, injury prevention, and pain management. Deliver educational in-services to both staff and interns to promote clinical knowledge and enhance overall team competency. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes, and to contribute insights based on clinical experience and patient observations. Engage in ongoing community outreach efforts to promote the benefits of physical therapy and increase awareness about our services. Support research and quality improvement initiatives within the facility, leveraging evidence-based practices to enhance treatment techniques. Patient Population / Client Focus As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with outpatients who require rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and range in age from children to seniors, requiring an adaptable therapist who can modify treatment strategies for different demographics. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is mandatory. An active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey is required to practice. At least 2 years of professional experience in an orthopedic setting is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, emphasizing compassion and empathy in all interactions. Preferred Experience Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly desirable. A track record of conducting clinical research or participating in educational development activities is advantageous.
