JOB TITLE:
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, ENROLLMENT MARKETING
JOB PURPOSE:
Strategize, develop, and implement marketing and communication plans annually that support university undergraduate and graduate recruitment, along with overall university branding goals. Principal collaborator and project manager with various teams supporting undergraduate, graduate and transfer recruiting across the university. Produce strategies and tactical plans that serve student needs and support university goals. Responsibilities include coordinating daily undergraduate and graduate admissions and recruitment teams and Institutional Marketing, developing new strategies for student recruitment, and assisting in the development of overall marketing and advertising campaigns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with various teams to produce and implement annual undergraduate and graduate communication/marketing strategies.
- Help develop and manage annual marketing plans and special initiative plans for key partners across the university. Develop and nurture working relationships with other recruitment wings across the university that align with the university’s overall enrollment strategies.
- Continuously evaluate enrollment trends and data, provide analysis and insights that help drive enrollment marketing concepts, and execute strategies to help improve overall student enrollment.
- Develop content and creative briefs for new print materials, emails, digital advertising, video/photo needs and other tactics to help launch and maintain the annual marketing plan.
- Maintain active communication with partners across campus through regular project check-ins or strategic meetings.
- Actively participate in Institutional Marketing’s Leadership Team, providing insights, analysis, support and strategy.
- Project manage annual communication plan for key partners including execution of advertising, print, email and digital marketing tactics.
- Build partnership and collaborate with print and materials vendor(s) to gain quotes, transition of final print files and final sign-off.
- Utilize and monitor allotted budgets responsibly for partners throughout design concepts, attaining estimates from vendors, and having estimates approved by university partners.
- Work cohesively with the extended Institutional Marketing team to initiate recruiting materials needed to execute annual marketing plans.
- Collaborate with the creative services team to initiate recruiting materials, maintain proofing to various internal parties, including print pieces and multimedia (video & photo needs.)
- Work closely with the digital marketing team to strategize and develop concepts & execution of digital marketing materials including digital advertising plans, social media and website improvements to help recruit students to UW.
- Project manage tasks, monitor deadlines, collaborate with other team members, and initiate upcoming enrollment initiatives within Asana, the team’s primary project management software.
- Serve as the primary owner of the automated email journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud system, continuously evaluating and optimizing content to align with our brand messaging.
- Interpret departmental needs and directions, assess capacity, and plan, develop, and implement appropriate marketing strategies.
- Manage a staff whose primary goals and tasks surround enrollment marketing strategy and execution.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Write or coordinate content writing for enrollment tactics, as needed.
- Assist with recruitment-focused landing web pages and campaigns.
- Supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments, if needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Art or a related field.
