We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

This position is located in our Utah Center, Salt Lake City, UT.  There is one position which will be filled at the level(s) commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Supports development and maintenance of company's consolidated budget/forecast as well as corporate strategy.
• Assists in development and monitoring of corporate strategy.
• Supports budget development and consolidation process.
• Provides analysis and presentation preparation in support of investment decisions going before Investment Review Committee.
• Supports review, update and communication of cost of capital to be utilized for business and investment decisions.
• Assists in identification, screening and analysis of potential merger and acquisition opportunities.
• Supports department efforts to respond to requests for special studies on competitors, industry trends, etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Associate Financial Analyst

• 0-2 years related experience (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience.  A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.

Financial Analyst

• 3+ years related experience (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience.  A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.

 

Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:

• Knowledge of financial management and analysis, utility and/or relevant industry knowledge, accounting standards and practices.
• Skills: good organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Teaming, analytical and customer focus skills.
• Good basic skills in project analysis and financial planning and analysis.
• Aptitude for continuous learning.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint.

 

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

• Preferred Discipline(s): Accounting, Business, Finance
  • Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
