Position Summary

Support SVP, Communications & Chief of Staff by managing the corporate communications function within the US. This includes developing a range of high-quality written communications and marketing materials including awards entries, social media posts, internal communications, briefing documents, and internal and external presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain US awards calendars and proactively plan the submission of awards to celebrate KINESSO, our IPG Mediabrands agency partnerships, our work, and our people.
  • Stay current on relevant industry issues that could impact our business, position, or messaging.
  • Lead communications support at internal US events such as Town Halls and as well as external tentpole events like Cannes, CES, Advertising Week and more.
  • Manage US press relations; pitch, coordinate and staff interviews; provide interview and speaking opportunity prep, as needed.
  • Work in partnership with global communications + content team on social media content and strategy.
  • Lead communications for professional training and development, working closely with the Learning & Development Team.
  • As needed, help craft & distribute press releases, corporate one-sheets, talking points, messaging docs, presentations, industry submissions, internal communications and other communications materials.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or business-related field a plus. 
  • Razor-sharp writer and editor with expertise in developing persuasive content such as awards submissions, internal communications, social media, press releases, and POVs.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Broad exposure and holistic understanding of various media strategies and technologies is desirable.
  • Ability to identify target media outlets and craft compelling story pitches.
  • Strong relationships with external trade publications
  • Experience and comfort working in a high-output environment with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
