The Boeing Company is seeking a Front-Line Electrical Engineering Manager. As part of Boeing's Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) division, Satellite Systems manages the company's major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense, and other missions. Satellite Systems leads all aspects of the design, development, manufacture, integration, and testing of satellites. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage design and development of state-of-the art electronics for space-based and avionic applications.
  • Duties will include managing and developing a group of talented engineers that will be doing circuit design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification.
  • Technical support for production and test of space-qualified and avionic electronics.
  • Lead projects involving digital and analog circuit design.
  • Project management responsible for digital design, worst case circuit analysis, and/or satellite communications systems.
  • Support new business proposals.
  • Develop tools and processes to increase efficiency and productivity of group.
  • Create a culture that promotes continuous learning and seek, speak, and listen.
  • Work under general to minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with digital circuit design.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with digital electronics.
  • Circuit design and analysis experience.
  • Electronics-oriented work experience.
  • Experience with developing and leading teams.
  • Active Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SSBI Clearance.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners.
  • Master of Science in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous management experience. 
  • Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust.
  • Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes.
  • Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams.
  • Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance.
  • Can up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent, growing leaders and helping underperforming members.
  • Can gain trust of team and provide guidance for their careers.
