Position Overview
The Director of Digital Health will lead our organization's efforts to develop and implement digital health strategies that enhance patient care, improve health outcomes, and optimize operational efficiency. This position will oversee the integration of digital health technologies, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR), telehealth platforms, and mobile health applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, digital innovation, and patient engagement strategies, ensuring that digital health initiatives align with our organization's goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital health strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission, improves patient experience, and supports clinical and operational excellence.
- Digital Health Solutions: Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of digital health technologies, including EMR integrations, telehealth services, and patient engagement tools.
- Telehealth Platforms: Implementing and managing telehealth services to facilitate remote consultations, patient monitoring, and virtual healthcare delivery.
- Mobile Health Applications (mHealth): Overseeing the development and integration of mobile health apps that allow patients to manage their health, access medical records, communicate with healthcare providers, and monitor vital signs using their smartphones or tablets.
- Health Information Exchange (HIE): Facilitating the exchange of health information between different healthcare organizations and systems to improve care coordination and patient outcomes. A lot of these requests will be coming our way.
- Data Analytics and Big Data: Leveraging data analytics tools and big data technologies to analyze health data for insights into patient care, operational efficiency, and clinical research. (we will do this farther down the road)
- Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS): Overseeing the integration of CDSS to provide healthcare professionals with patient-specific assessments or recommendations to aid clinical decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Software Engineering, IT, Clinical Services, and Sales to ensure digital health initiatives are integrated smoothly and support organizational goals.
- Innovation and Transformation: Foster a culture of innovation within the organization; explore and implement emerging technologies and digital solutions to enhance healthcare delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance and Standards: Ensure digital health projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including data privacy and cybersecurity measures.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of digital health initiatives, making data-driven decisions to guide strategy adjustments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with patients, healthcare providers, and external partners to gather feedback and ensure digital health solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of digital health professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
