Senior FXMM Operations Specialist

Job Description

As a Senior FX/MM Operations Specialist, you have the knowledge and experience in the Financial Industry to deliver services “first time right” to our clients. You will be expected to pro-actively address potential problems and take ownership of issues and questions.

You will interact regularly with Financial Markets Sales and Trading colleagues to ensure counterparties receive optimal operational support and care.  

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and processing the trade life cycle for FX and MM trades
• Execute payment processes (e.g. agreeing netting, payment exceptions, etc)
• Ensure all payments are executed on time, handle manual exceptions and be end responsible (gatekeeper) for all FM/GT payments.
• Resolve queries relating to Financial Markets products and services.
• Focus on Foreign Exchange and Money Market Products and be an expert in FXMM products, systems, and end to end process flow.
• Handle amendments, cancels, urgent queries related to payments and confirmations.
• Second line support for other Operational teams (e.g. Hubs).
• Work on new initiatives both internal and external including continuous improvement, strategic  and regulatory changes.

Your work environment:

You will work in the dynamic and international world of Financial Markets and will focus on Foreign Exchange and Money Market. Although you will need to complete daily tasks individually, the team relies heavily on each other to ensure all problems and tasks are completed in a timely fashion.

Personal Profile

• 7+ years’ relevant working experience within the Financial Services industry generally or, preferably, in Financial/Capital Markets specifically
• Educational Background in Finance, Economics, or other technical trade
• Fluent in English (Level C2) and Dutch (one other European language would be a plus)
• Proven ability to participate in change activities on an operational, commercial, and IT level
• Knowledge of Financial Markets products (preferably FX/MM), services, and regulatory environment (specific to the European region) is a must
• Knowledge of Financial Markets IT applications (e.g. Murex, Calypso) is a plus.
