The Role

As a Product Security Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's products, digital assets, and information systems. You will bridge the gap between the technical and product teams, using your expertise in cybersecurity and business analysis to identify risks, analyze security requirements, and implement effective solutions. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, conducting thorough analysis, and offering actionable insights to enhance our overall cybersecurity posture.

Location

This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from different business units to understand their cybersecurity needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • With the Product Security Architect, you will analyze and document security controls, technologies, and strategies to mitigate risks and improve the overall security posture.
  • Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and gap analysis to identify potential security weaknesses and propose mitigation plans that align with the business requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Aid in the design and implementation of secure systems, networks, and applications by working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the integration of security requirements into project lifecycles and system development processes.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends, and aid in providing recommendations on relevant security solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and documentation related to cybersecurity initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
  • Manage Platform and Product Security ServiceNow queue for security onboarding requests.
  • Aid in facilitation of quarterly meetings with stakeholders and product onboarding activities with various IT teams.
  • Create, track, and manage JIRA work-items within defined sprint cycles. Incorporate feedback from stakeholders into new work items for prioritization.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are helpful.
  • 5+ years as an IT business analyst, preferably in a cybersecurity or information security context.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and articulate complex technical and business requirements.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
  • Excellent communication and people skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency in utilizing business analysis tools, techniques, and documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of IT project management methodologies and experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Dedication to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
