Job Description

The Global Warehouse Manager (GWM) will lead/coordinate projects and process improvements within the Plant material providing and handling processes including receiving, warehouse, shipping, and mrb. The expectation is that you will use proven leadership and change management skills to drive improvements in business performance related to material movement within Rockwell’s manufacturing facilities. Business process performance improvements will be primarily driven through relevant data acquisition, detailed transactional analysis, lean tools, and automation. The GWM will also develop collaborative working relationships with operations leadership to monitor and evaluate performance and to recommend, prioritize and initiate actions to attain business goals and objectives.

Major Responsibilities:

• Creating and implementing a strategy for material providing and handling within our manufacturing facilities
• Based on strategy, create standardized and sustainable processes in our material providing and handling processes.
• Lead projects within the operations facilities to implement the standard processes.
• Provide SAP technical support to operations when setting up new processes and revising old
• Review project proposals from operations for feasibility and work with IT to implement
• Consolidate and report the pertinent KPI’s, as well as, suggesting and implementing plant-specific improvement activities
• Providing relevant experience for all affected activities. Assist in the development of training for material providing and handling processes. Act as a trainer when required.
• Researching situations and obtain input from others to ensure fact-based solutions and answers to technical and operational problems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years related experience
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA in Operations/Materials/Business / Industrial Engineering
• A minimum of 4 years production planning experience or equivalent in manufacturing environment, along with a strong understanding of material providing and handling processes.
• Extensive use of SAP or ERP system functionality and parameters.
• Excellent analytical skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with databases, query/reporting tools preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of lean/six sigma or manufacturing continuous improvement techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills, independent problem resolution and the ability to manage the requirement of others not directly supervised.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines
