What we're looking for

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Doctor to join our telehealth team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients via our telehealth platform. You will work remotely, interacting with patients over video calls, phone calls, and through messaging within our secure platform. Your primary focus will be on assessing patients' health, determining eligibility based on an intake form and relevant treatment options, providing education and support, coordinating care, and ensuring a high standard of care is maintained at all times. Prescribing appropriate medication options and reviewing patients to ensure they receive proper education on the prescribed medications, including dosage, side effects, and overall purpose.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health and medical history through our in-app virtual consultations (calls/texts/video calls).

• Review patient eligibility for prescription medication considering the patient safety and efficacy of treatments.

• If eligible, prescribe appropriate medication options best suited for the patient’s goals and medical history. 

• Respond to patients’ queries and concerns promptly, offering advice and support.

• Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Check in weekly with each patient.

• Ensure compliance with telehealth protocols and state-specific medical laws.

• Recommend Able’s Fullscript supplement plans to help with gaps in lifestyle or specific conditions.

• Provide recommendations on diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, and medication adherence.

• Collaborate with our dedicated health coaches.

• Document and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.

• Constantly strive to provide a high-quality clinical experience for our clients.

• Help us get better by working to improve our services and our technology, providing constructive feedback as appropriate.

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in areas such as weight loss treatments and peptides.

Qualifications

• Current Medical (MD) license in good standing to practice in any US state(s). 

• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and EHR systems.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including the potential for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Professionalism, reliability, and adherence to a strict code of ethics.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic and professional demeanor.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, interdisciplinary team.

• Access to a private, quiet space following HIPAA requirements, with reliable high-speed internet for conducting telehealth appointments.

• Capable of obtaining client consent and explaining telehealth procedures effectively.

• Ability to help us to improve our services and our technology, providing constructive feedback as appropriate.

• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Nice to haves

• Experience in a telehealth environment.

• Experience with weight management and metabolic health specifically the use of GLP-1 agonists.

• Strong interest in nutrition and exercise. 

• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
