Please Note:
This role is distinctly different from a Data Analyst or Financial Analyst position. While all three roles demand strong analytical skills, the Business Analyst position is uniquely focused on understanding and enhancing business processes, managing stakeholder relationships, and implementing technology solutions that directly benefit our clients. This role requires close coordination with our software engineers to ensure that the technology solutions we deploy not only align with our strategic goals but also deliver tangible benefits to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement in our projects.
Gather detailed requirements from customers and stakeholders, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and expectations.
Prepare comprehensive technical documents e.g., BRS, SRS, SDS, user requirements documents, Gantt chart that serve as a blueprint for the software delivery team.
Work closely with the technical delivery divisions to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements, facilitating the successful delivery of IT systems.
Develop and present insightful reports to management, highlighting key findings, progress, and recommendations.
Assist in project management, contributing to planning, execution, and monitoring phases.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring consistent understanding and expectations.
Engage in problem-solving to overcome projects execution obstacles.
Assist the planning, execution, and management of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other similar sessions to ensure the developed systems meet all business requirements and are ready for live deployment. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement necessary adjustments.
Assist the system deployment process, which may require working during night hours to minimize impact on business operations and ensure a smooth transition. This includes preparing for deployment, executing the deployment plan, and providing immediate post-deployment support.
Assist / offer ongoing support to clients after system deployment, addressing any issues, queries, or updates needed to ensure continuous satisfaction and optimal system performance.
Key Qualifications:
Candidates must have full working rights for Malaysia and currently be staying in the Klang Valley.
Recent graduates are required to have a degree from a reputable overseas university, with their studies completed abroad. Preference will be given to candidates with strong academic achievements. While a degree in Information Technology or a related discipline is beneficial, candidates from other fields are also encouraged to apply if they have a keen interest in working as an IT Business Analyst and possess good familiarity with IT terminology.
For working professionals with 1-2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, a degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
Strong business acumen, with a clear understanding of how IT functions as an enabler for business success.
Possess strong skills in technical documentation. This includes proficiency in utilizing various diagramming tools to illustrate complex processes in a comprehensible manner e.g. swim lane diagram, flow charts diagram, use case diagram, ERD diagram, etc.
Adept in creating detailed documentation, slides and engaging presentations.
Demonstrated ability to think critically about business processes and improvements.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a friendly and positive attitude towards peers and team collaboration.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle complex challenges.
Be willing to travel and meet clients in person, as required, to facilitate discussions and gather insights for project success.
Have personal transportation available (car).
