Position Summary: 

This position is responsible for covering, sanitizing, cleaning, and preparing equipment for use in various departments. 

 

Knowledge & Responsibilities: 

• Cover motors, electrical plugs, and all computer equipment. 

• Clean up excess waste on the floors. 

• Use a pressure hose to spray down all equipment. 

• Scour all equipment with scouring pad and/or chemicals. 

• Sanitize equipment and areas with disinfectant and oil when finished. 

• Cleaning of lights, pipes, walls, refrigeration units, and any other items. 

• Handle and distribute cleaning chemicals and record data. 

• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department. 

• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.  

• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed. 

• Perform any other work as assigned by management.  

• Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions. 

• Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.:  addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).  

• Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. 

 

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

• Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.  

• Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.  

• Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.  

• Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently. 

• Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend up to 10 hours. 

• Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees. 

 

Preferred Skills: 

• Machine Operator experience preferred 

• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred 

• RF Scanner experience preferred 

 

Requirements: 

• 3 months of work history with the same employer
