Minimum or Preferred Qualifications
BS - Bachelor of Science or BA – Bachelor of Arts required. 2 years of experience in a clinical setting required. 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred. Demonstrates knowledge of payor issues and coding requirements as they relate to OIG, CMS, and State payor rules and regulations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include advanced functions. Knowledge of internet and intranet functions. Working knowledge of Eclypsis, Cerner scheduling and clinic/hospital registration processes. Medical Terminology and Basic computer skills assessment required. Reg Health Info Tech (RHIT), Certified Coding Spec (CCS), and Certified Professional Coder preferred but not required. CEMC & COC preferred but not required.
