Job Duties

Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Housekeeping Worker who will provide a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment for patients, staff, and visitors at Western State Hospital (WSH) and the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA). The Housekeeping Worker will be responsible for ensuring the bathrooms/shower rooms are cleaned daily; bed areas are cleaned; dayrooms/office/public areas are checked daily and perform cleaning tasks as needed; and floor care if completed as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

- general knowledge and skills in cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, dayrooms, floor finishing, and cleaning/operating housekeeping equipment
- ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations, lift heavy objects, prolonged standing, walking on various surfaces, climb ladders, work on knees, and work in various conditions
