Sr. Manager, Commercial Strategy & Analytics

As Navan continues to grow and scale, it is vital to have an in-depth and analytical understanding of the supplier side of our marketplace. As a Sr. Manager of Commercial Strategy & Analytics, you will come in and drive our supply strategy and analytics team focusing on a)building a holistic understanding of our supply marketplace dynamics; b)working on building out strategic analyses and business cases to understand and optimize current and future supply-related programs and c)build out internal and external reporting capabilities to drive value maximization. This role is highly analytical and cross-functional and requires an understanding of travel, distribution and supply. An ideal candidate will have a background in travel or consulting. This key role reports into the VP of Commercial Strategy & Analytics, and the position will be US-based (preferably Seattle or Bay Area).
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and other functions to represent the perspective of supply across all of Navan
- Build out tools to ensure and optimize connectivity & revenue for Navan
- Develop strategy and execute on reporting suite for suppliers; Build ad-hoc reports for supplier meetings
- Efficiently drive and lead business case development + modeling
- Drive alignment with the data science, data engineering, and data analytics team to ensure proper data infrastructure - co-own data modeling as needed
- Continually align with finance to ensure proper revenue and billing tracking
- Lead and execute on revenue management capabilities
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in a strategy and analytics role
- Advanced skills in Data Visualization Software (preferably Tableau) and SQL
- Demonstrated analytical aptitude and business acumen
- Proficiency with data modeling and analysis
- Advanced in financial modeling and forecasting
- Experience working in a collaborative environment, building and maintaining cross functional partnerships, to drive attainment of team goals.
- Must be comfortable with a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous, environment.
The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
