Purpose
The AD, Field Reimbursement position FRD contributes to the company success by being important point of contact with our exclusive HUB service partner and HCP offices who endure reimbursement challenges for Chiesi products. The FRD role is a critical, highly visible, customer facing position providing reimbursement education expertise and support for customers utilizing Chiesi and Amryt products. External facing customers may include hospitals/hospital outpatient departments, physician practices, and other appropriate site-of-care facilities as well as specialty pharmacies. The FRD’s, will work closely with HCPs, pharmacists, billing and coding staff and other professionals involved in securing and resolving appropriate reimbursement for the use of Chiesi RDG products. The FRD will interact with internal stakeholders including field sales, sales leadership, market access, patient services to support appropriate patient access to Chiesi’s and Amryt GRD product portfolio.
The FRD is expected to be a subject matter expert on reimbursement processes (i.e., benefit verification, prior authorization, claim assistance, and appeals.) In addition, the FRD needs to build and maintain strong relationships with health care provider practices and facilities, while implementing and managing field reimbursement responsibilities. The FRD role requires a high degree of verbal and written communication, account coordination, cross-functional collaboration and business acumen.
Main Responsibilities
• The Field Reimbursement role is to minimize reimbursement barriers for patients and providers and, therefore, optimize access to Chiesi GRD products.
• Ability to Consult and engagement with key HCP offices for 14 states
• Responsible for covering Central region of the United States
• FRDs will work closely with Managed Access & Field Sales in the field, supporting targeted HCPs in resolving reimbursement issues or concerns
• Experience launching rare disease products
• Experience working with Pricing service databases
• Reimbursement experience working with J Codes and Misc J Codes
• Experience working with HUB service and Market Access team on reimbursement issues
• Staying current with Health policy changes and trends as they relate to reimbursement issues and/or challenges
• Develop ethical and customer-oriented reimbursement strategies, and proactively commun
