Community, Conferences and Events Intern

Overview
We’re looking for a community intern to join our ranks. Our Conferences and Events and Community Development teams oversee the countless details necessary to successfully host exclusive events for our advisors and their field office support staff, as well as companywide events for our home office employees. We're looking for an intern who wants some great experience in conferences and events in the financial services industry. As an intern for these teams, you will collaborate on plans for upcoming events and contribute to community-based initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Working on design and marketing pieces and managing mobile app content in preparation for our National Conference
- Researching 2024 invitational conference locations to prepare for initial planning team site visits
- Helping with new community-based initiatives, including research, list coordination, and other tasks as needed
- Assisting with project management tasks as needed
- Contributing to ad-hoc projects as needed
Core Strengths and Skills
- Interest in the Events industry
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, social media sites, and standard research platforms and tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Active listening skills
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Detail oriented and organized
- Patient with repetitive work
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
