Summary
 

We are currently hiring for a Behavioral Health Care Management Manager to join BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In this role as a Behavioral Health Care Management Manager, you will oversee the Case Management functions and staff ensuring all documentation, timeliness, and quality standards are met. Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures in order to maintain full compliance with all regulatory bodies.

Location

This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm EST and will be hybrid in Columbia, SC.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversees case management clinical and support staff and operations. Supervises the development and administration of case management services ensuring regulatory, contract, national accreditation requirements are met.
  • Selects, trains, develops and guides staff. Ensures excellent customer service is given to employees, customers, management, etc. Manages and monitors department performance, budget and resources. Provides training/feedback to peers and management on activities of department. Develops policies and procedures and communicates changes and updates to staff. ensures quality standards are met and identifies training needs of staff.
  • Develops and implements quality initiatives, compliance oversight, corrective actions. Develops and implements tracking, trending, and cost containment initiatives.
  • Participates in special projects for department and other areas.

To Qualify for This Position, You Will Need:

  • Required Education: Associates in a job-related field
  • Required Work Experience: 5 years clinical and case management experience, to include 3 years supervisory/team lead or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above (may be concurrent).
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions.
  • Good judgment skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of planning, programming and budgeting activities.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and math skills necessary to collect, analyze and report data.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate or influence others.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to direct, motivate, and assess performance of others.
  • Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office.
  • Required Licenses and Certificates: Active, unrestricted RN licensure from the United States and in the state of hire, OR, active compact multistate unrestricted RN license as defined by the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), or active, unrestricted licensure as social worker, counselor, or psychologist from the United States and in the state hire (for Div. 75 only).

We Prefer That You Have:

  • At least 3 years of Behavioral Health management experience.
  • Experience with government contracts including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, or ACA.
  • Health plan experience.
  • Experience with clinical program development.
  • Experience working in and reporting within a matrix environment.
  • Experience working with the state department.
