Compensation includes a base salary of $131,600.00 - $219,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Principal Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Network Analytics + Reliability Enablement Program/Portfolio. This role will focus on improving Reliability and Customer Experience across network, node, premise, and interaction level health. The Principal Program Manager will manage financials, initiatives, value cases, and deliverable statuses, and will partner closely with the VP of Network Analytics + Reliability Enablement. The position requires collaboration with Service Reliability Organization Sr. Leadership (Wired Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Service Assurance) and Regional Operations Leadership (Regional SVP, AVP, Market Leaders).

Program Leadership and Accountability:

  • Define and manage the Network Analytics + Reliability Enablement program to drive improvements to overall network reliability. Oversee network, node, premise, and interaction level health initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage the program's scope, cost, and schedule, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and efficient execution to meet objectives. Held accountable for budget adherence, timeline management, and achieving key milestones.
  • Ensure projects achieve business, functional, and operational goals while adhering to constraints imposed by customers, budgets, strategic objectives, or other external factors.
  • Facilitate decision-making and alignment across stakeholders related to scope, schedule, budget and associated risk and opportunity management.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Network Analytics & Reliability Enablement and service reliability organization.

Delivery Approach:

  • Support Scaled Agile methodologies, including annual road mapping, quarterly Program Increment Planning, and standard agile practices (stand-ups, demos, backlog refinement).
  • Maintain tactical visibility of team deliverables through rotating VP Demos.
  • Support demonstrations, trials, and measurements for continuous feedback and improvements.
  • Collect and align Engineering (Wireline and Wireless), Operations Performance Management, and Product Roadmaps.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field) and 10 years of experience in program/project management, including a proven track record with complex, cross-functional programs. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years of experience; or a PhD or Doctorate and 5 years of experience; or 14 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Additionally, 10+ years in Telecommunications or a related field.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of industry-recognized project management tools and techniques.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in critical path analysis, risk management, and resolving complex issues.

Preferred  

  • Prefer certification in Project Management (PMP)
  • Prefer certification in Agile or SAFe methodologies
