We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Services Engineer with a strong focus on Baremetal as a Service (BMaaS) in Intel Developer Cloud organization! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

As a Senior Cloud Services Engineer specializing in Baremetal as a Service, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our BMaaS infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our cloud services. Your expertise in Golang, API development, microservices, Kubernetes, PXE, Ironic, and knowledge of networking, BIOS, Firmware, Redfish, IPMI, and security will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Baremetal as a Service (BMaaS) infrastructure in a cloud environment.

• Develop and maintain APIs and microservices to manage and provision bare metal resources.

• Collaborate with the Kubernetes team to integrate BMaaS with container orchestration.

• Manage PXE and Ironic for automated provisioning of bare metal servers.

• Work with hardware-level technologies including BIOS, Firmware, Redfish, and IPMI.

• Ensure the security and compliance of BMaaS infrastructure, adhering to industry best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to bare metal services.

• Continuously optimize and scale the BMaaS infrastructure to meet growing demands.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement networking solutions.

• Strong commitment to security best practices and compliance.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 2+ years of experience in:

• Cloud services engineering with a focus on Baremetal as a Service

• Programming skills in Golang

• API development and microservices architecture

• Kubernetes and container orchestration

• PXE and Ironic for bare metal provisioning

• Networking protocols and principles

• BIOS, Firmware, Redfish, and IPMI

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud native open source projects

• Software-defined networking (SDN)

• Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible

• Containerization and container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.)
