Local Delivery Driver

About the Role

As a Local Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in our Delivery Team, ensuring our customers receive windows, interior and exterior doors, mouldings, and other millwork products safely and efficiently. This position involves operating a 26’ straight truck, delivering to various locations in the greater Kansas City, KS area, and being the face of KCM in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a 26’ straight truck safely and efficiently.
• Load, secure, and unload windows, doors, and millwork products.
• Plan routes to meet delivery schedules.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and arrange routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with traffic, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any delivery concerns.
• Occasionally assist in the warehouse with loading, unloading, and inventory management.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking candidates who are safety-conscious, customer-focused, and team-oriented.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class D KS driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and non-DOT drug test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and perform heavy physical work.
• Professional and positive customer-facing experience.
• 1 year of experience operating a 26’ box truck.
• 6 months of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Familiarity with delivery paperwork such as bills of lading.
